Author Tamia Sheldon Does Google Meet with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grades

Ms. Sheldon is a former art teacher and current freelance illustrator and designer working outside of Seattle, WA.  She loves making up stories for her funny kid and spends all her free time drawing, reading and taking pictures. With a B.A. in Design and Culture Studies she is intent on creating work that has a positive impact on the world.
In the two weeks prior to the Google Meet, students in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades read two of Ms. Sheldon's books, The Hungry Shark and The (NOT) Sleepy Shark. They then prepared questions to ask Ms. Sheldon during the Google Meet and were able to ask her the questions  She then asked them what ideas they might have for future adventures for Amelia the shark and what books they had been reading while doing remote learning.
Ms. Sheldon then offered to look at artwork or writing from students that Ms. Lawson, Lawsonville's librarian, could send her.  Ms. Lawson coordinated this Google Meet with the head of Xist Publishing, Calee Lee, and feels that it was a positive encounter for the students at her school.
